Sometimes, we all need a getaway—to relax, reconnect with loved ones, and immerse ourselves in the beauty of God’s creation. Twin Lakes, a secluded 53-acre retreat in Athens, Texas, offers the perfect escape. Stay in the spacious 3,500-square-foot, five-bedroom guesthouse, which comfortably sleeps 14, and explore two miles of scenic wooded trails, two spring-fed lakes, and towering trees teeming with wildlife.
Unwind on the porch, cast a line and reel in a fish, paddle across the lake in a canoe, or take a peaceful stroll through the forest. Watch the sun dip below the horizon, challenge friends to a game of pool in the game room, or gather around a crackling fire to toast marshmallows under the stars.
If you’re in the mood for more adventure, venture into town to savor a delicious meal, browse charming antique shops, or sip local flavors at one of three nearby wineries. However you choose to spend your time, Twin Lakes is a place to relax, explore, and make unforgettable memories.
If you have a small group, 6 or less, you can rent the first floor only. If you have a larger group 7-14 you can rent the whole house. You can also add the game room if you wish.
If camping is your thing, then pitch your tent in the beautiful campsite that easily holds 50- 75 campers.
Outdoor Adventure
Twin Lakes offers a wide variety of outdoor adventure on property including hiking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking and mountain bike riding.

If nature is not really your thing, then maybe venturing into the quaint little town Athens to do a little dining, shopping, antiquing or wine tasting will satisfy that itch.
